The will of God is that we encounter him and not just each other. He wants to be in our prayer meetings, bible studies, and church services. He wants to love us where we are-in debt, in trouble, in sin-

He wants to answer our cries, our calls, our prayers, our pleas.

H wants to heal our broken hearts, our broken spirits, our broken lives.

H wants to be our first thought  every morning and our last thought every night.

He wants to be our first love.

He wants to help us to be more like Jesus: to walk in His power, His grace, His glory, His will.

He wants us to never lack any good thing. He is good. He wants to be our God.

John 7:16-18New International Version (NIV)

16 Jesus answered, “My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me. 17 Anyone who chooses to do the will of God will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own. 18 Whoever speaks on their own does so to gain personal glory, but he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him.

Acts 20:26-28New International Version (NIV)

26 Therefore, I declare to you today that I am innocent of the blood of any of you. 27 For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God. 28 Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God,[a] which he bought with his own blood.[b]

Romans 8:26-28New International Version (NIV)

26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.

28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose.
