Remember when you were a kid and you just couldn’t wait for things to happen? You couldn’t wait to start kindergarten so you could go to school like the big kids. You couldn’t wait for first grade because then you’d be in “real” school. You couldn’t wait to have a birthday and would even count half years to make it appear that you were even older.

We would count the days until Christmas, or birthdays, or special events. We began to ask about time. What time is it? Are we there yet?

Then it was being tall enough to ride on the rides at the carnivals, and before you knew it was graduating from high school, getting married, college, having kids of your own, career goals and retirement.

Whew that went fast.

We didn’t always get to do the things we wanted but had to wait. That is how it is with “God’s perfect timing”( Kairos time).

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

A Time for Everything

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:

a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

God has a plan for every single person on the planet. And every single person on the planet is connected. We all come from somebody.

So, if you are feeling like you wish your life would just move on already then maybe it is time for you to take a deep breath, bow your head, and thank God Almighty for his perfect timing. Hindsight is always 20/20.

We can’t rush time. God has his reasons for timing things the way he does. The word time is in the bible 888 times. Timing is important to God.

Until we get to that point in time when we realize that this journey we are on is not about us and our desires but is about God’s plan and His purposes, we will never accomplish what it is that God foreordained for us to do  with the life he gave us. We will never accomplish our anointed purpose. My prayer is that your purpose may be fulfilled in Christ Jesus our LORD.
