God’s Camouflage Saturday, Mar 25 2017

On occasion I like to write about God’s actions in my life. Well, yesterday and the day before he showed up big time. You know those word puzzles where if you look at the words one way they say one thing but if you look at them another way they something else? It is a way to hide something in plain sight. It’s like when Jesus taught his disciples using parables. Everyone could hear the words he was saying but not everyone really heard what he was saying. The meaning behind his words was lost to them because of their perspective.

In the book of Proverbs chapter 25 it says: It is the glory of God to conceal a matter;
    to search out a matter is the glory of kings.
As the heavens are high and the earth is deep,
    so the hearts of kings are unsearchable.

Remove the dross from the silver,
    and a silversmith can produce a vessel;
remove wicked officials from the king’s presence,
    and his throne will be established through righteousness.

Yesterday, when I went to get my mail, I came upon a small white feather. It was all fluffy and light. I picked it up and took it as a sign that He was with me. Then in the mail there was a check from the imaging company that had done my mammogram last summer for hundreds of dollars. That is when I remembered the day before the cellular telephone company I use returned the payment I had made this month into my checking account. Combined the total was over $500.

Most people would write this off as a coincidence. But God knows our every need. God is a God of details. I choose to believe that He is my Jehovah Jireh. He takes great joy in being my provider, my king. He does the same for my city, my state, and my nation. His throne will be established through righteousness.

The meaning of the parable is this: Telephones represent communication. Mammograms represent health care. God is at work with congress to lower the cost of health care. For many people when they pulled the health care bill it was devastating for others it was a good thing. I choose to believe the word that says, “As the heavens are high and the earth is deep, so the hearts of kings are unsearchable.” And “remove wicked officials from the king’s presence, and his throne will be established through righteousness.” And “remove the dross from the silver and the silversmith can produce a vessel.” I choose to believe that God’s hand is draining the swamp.

God’s Kiss Monday, Mar 20 2017

Psalm 119:132-134New International Version (NIV)

132 Turn to me and have mercy on me,
    as you always do to those who love your name.
133 Direct my footsteps according to your word;
    let no sin rule over me.
134 Redeem me from human oppression,
    that I may obey your precepts.

In the fullness of your love, I am so in love with you, Jesus. I honor and glorify your holy name.

Father, you are holy.

You are righteous.

You are good.

You answer my prayers. You know my heart.

By the blood of the Lamb and by the word of your testimonies, I overcome. Raise up an army of lovers; willing to fight to the death.

Face to face; I want to see you, LORD.

1 Thessalonians 5:25-27 25 Brothers and sisters, pray for us. 26 Greet all God’s people with a holy kiss. 27 I charge you before the Lord to have this letter read to all the brothers and sisters.

Your love is like a room full of precious jewels. When it is just me and you I can’t remember life without you. In your presence, LORD, I am lost in the warmth of your smile. Your love is like a ray covering my soul. The kisses from above give me strength. Your love is like the ocean.

1 Peter 5:14 14 Greet one another with a kiss of love.

Peace to all of you who are in Christ.

God’s Way Saturday, Mar 11 2017

Lord, Thank-you for the eternity you have placed in my heart. Thank-you, LORD, that you: teach me your way everlasting, are a light unto my path, are the way, are the truth, are the light. Thank-you for your presence, LORD.

Thank-you for the flaming sword that guards the way to life eternal. Your way is holy and righteous. Direct me to do what is right. Make straight paths for my feet. May my deeds bring you glory, Father. Help me to settle matters quickly with my adversary. Bring sound judgment here. Bring me your heart of compassion. Give me food to feed your sheep. That none should perish in my path.

Thank-you for your Spirit that teaches me all things.

I receive your free gift of salvation. I receive you.

I will seek you early in the morning. Come to the garden. I hunger for you. You are life.

Glory, Jesus, to your name. I cry out to you. I lift my heart, my hands, my life. On my knees, I pray. I am secure in you. You are Most High. In you there is mercy, enduring mercy, forever. Your Way is right. I worship you.

I enter into your rest, LORD. I accept your peace. I accept your terms. I accept your promises. I accept your will. I accept your plan. Thank-you, for being my God. Jesus, have mercy on me. You are perfect in all of your ways. You are holy. You are the name above all other names.
